The Lead PE will oversee execution to ensure tasks are completed accurately and promptly, while also leading a project team to fulfill customer requirements within designated cost and schedule parameters, all within a rapidly expanding business sector.Contract Duration: 8 months with possible extension.Hybrid Work Schedule: Must be on-site Tues, Wed, Thurs. Remote Mon & Fri.ResponsibilitiesLead daily meetings to go over the plan for the day, adjusting based on external and internal customer needs, and responding to / delivering on those changing priorities as they occur.Responsible for successfully leading a project team, including subcontractors, to meet customer requirements within allocated cost / schedule commitments in a dynamic environment.Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives on processes within the production test environmentImprove execution in the production test environment via timely completion of capability releases.Gain consensus with various stakeholders (customer, quality operations, engineering PMO) on plansOverall responsible for the schedule development and timely execution. Understands and mitigates risks and problems before they cause schedule slip.Leadership stakeholder in developing and managing the program cost baseline. Works closely with Program Manager and Program Finance Administrator roles in tracking and using EVMS metrics to track progress and reduce variances.Leadership stakeholder in development of program technical baseline.Assesses engineering issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives.Identifies, tracks, mitigates, manages, and dispositions program-level risks and opportunities.Estimate resource and material needs for the project/product.Provides the coordination between resource managers/supervisors and ensures all necessary reviews and approvals are receivedJob Requirements Required Skills Requires mastery level knowledge within a specific technical area or multiple job areas typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. Viewed as an expert and/or resource within the field by peers in and outside the organization. Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 8-10 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 6-8 years of prior related experience.Experience with best practices for project engineering and program execution.Experience in managing multi-discipline programs including Integration and Test.Experience with Technical Supplier Management, Risk and Opportunity Management.Experience leading Government Contract development programs.Experience with Government contract acquisition lifecycle.Experience with management of design to cost activities.Experience with program pursuit and proposal activities.Experience in Root Cause Corrective Action process and techniques.Desired Skills & Experience Project Engineering Experience on Development ProgramsTechnical aptitude with a focus on software and hardware for avionics systemsAbility to interface with customers at multiple levels (executive to engineering)Expertise in Project Execution and ManagementExperience managing projects with budgets of $70M+Leadership Skills and ability to lead program teams to successful program execution
