As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for providing maintenance and support for OSP 10 and Rel 7.7 software products. Your expertise in Corgi, Pacemaker for RHEL HA, Python, git, ansible, and Jenkins/Groovy will be crucial in ensuring the stability and reliability of our software offerings. You will work closely with a team of engineers, reviewing published vulnerabilities, and providing support to customers who are using previous versions of our software products.Performs research, design, implementation and support tasks as a member of Capgemini team. Works in accordance with project guidelines, quality standards and code conventions.MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIESProvide maintenance and support for OSP 10 and Rel 7.7 software productsReview and address published vulnerabilities, ensuring the software remains secure and resilientCollaborate with a team of engineers to troubleshoot and resolve customer issuesAssist in backporting critical CVEs (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures) to maintain software securityWork closely with kernel developers to address software issues and optimize performanceMaintain a thorough understanding of the software products and their functionalityCollaborate with internal teams to develop and implement software patches and updatesContribute to the improvement of software maintenance processes and proceduresStay up to date with industry trends and advancements to provide proactive support and recommendationsEnsures that assigned area/areas are delivered within set deadlines and required quality objectives.Provides estimations, agrees task duration with the manager and contributes to project plan of assigned area.Analyzes scope of alternative solutions and makes decision about area implementation based on his/her experience and technical expertise.Reports about area readiness/quality, and raises red flags in crisis situations which are beyond his/her AOR.Initiates and conducts code reviews, creates code standards, conventions and guidelines.Collaborates with other teams.REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEMust have:5-8 years of experience as a Senior Engineer in software maintenance and supportExperience in administration of Red Hat Enterprise Linux/ CentOSExperience in Information security:Experience in PCI compliance process, strong understanding of procedures and requirementsExperience in web security patchingExperience in delivering vulnerability fixes to production environmentsExperience with internal security audits, external penetration tests and internal scansExperience in firewall security configuration, network separation, per-need based access, application level access restrictionExperience in administration of MySQL databases - replication, clones, backups, clustersGood understanding of network gear - CISCO switches/routers/load balancers, web servers (apache and nginx); firewalls (pfsense); VPNAbility to manage, operate, and monitor Java based stand-alone and Tomcat based applications.Ability to support production level MySQL databases.Good understanding and experience with Apache web server and NGINX web serverExperience in working and deploying to AWS cloud environments such as EC2, Elastic Beanstalk, Elastic Cache, S3, CloudFront, WAF, RDS.Good scripting abilities (bash, perl) and usage of automation tools like Puppet and Chef.Ability to plan, implement, test and troubleshoot system softwareStrong communication(oral & written) and interpersonal skillsWould be a plus:Experience with containerization and virtualization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and VMware is a plus.Why work with us - At Net2Source, we believe everyone has an opportunity to lead.
