The successful candidate will work directly with the President of Veith Engineering & Business Solutions and our senior professionals to support in project delivery and key technical and client growth initiatives.All the relevant skills, qualifications and experience that a successful applicant will need are listed in the following description.Our growing Sarasota/Bradenton office has an immediate opening for a 8+ year Civil or Environmental Engineer seeking to take the next step in their career development. Our firm's President, Senior Project Managers, and Senior Professionals will mentor the selected candidate to grow in varying roles and areas of expertise such Project Manager or Technical Lead for planning, pilot studies, modeling, engineering design, design build, asset management, information/digital technology, utility management consulting, and engineering services during construction. The candidate hired for this full-time position can start immediately.The firm's projects are considered "leading" edge such as for "OneWater", integrated water resource management, wastewater / potable water / reclaimed water / stormwater / indirect potable reuse, "Smart Utility", infiltration and inflow piloting ,asset management / CMOM, alternative project delivery (aka design build), and Low Impact Development (LIDs) sustainable designs for public and private clients.Responsibilities    Prepare engineering calculations and design, assessments, studies, master plans, engineering and economic models, construction drawings, technical specifications, permit applications and reports    Serve as Project Manager on small to medium scale projects or Technical Lead on complex or larger size projects.    Lead work on our field studies, data collection and analytics, and pilot projects Engineering services during construction including site observation    Business development/marketing assistance    Prepare presentations    Aid with preparing project schedules and budgets    Research new equipment technologies, regulations, approaches, and other data needed to support innovative engineering and business consulting solutions    Ability to occasionally travel (day trips), as needed, in SW Florida to West Central Florida for support on site visits, running and operating pilots and monitoring equipment, and client meetings  Minimum Qualifications (Required)Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental EngineeringFlorida PE or can obtain PE in Florida within 3 monthsProficient in full Microsoft Office 365 software suiteStrong written and verbal communication skillsSelf-motivated and committed to meeting deadlines/and high-quality standardsProject Management ExperienceExperience with mentoring project engineersOther Qualifications (Preferred)Experience with the following software's: Modeling/Hydraulics, AutoCAD 3D, GIS, and Microsoft SharePointMaster's Degree in water/wastewater or water resources engineeringWe offer EXCELLENT COMPENSATION packages, company matched retirement plans, medical, dental, vision insurance; spot performance bonuses, gold star awards, fun team building events, training & one-on-one mentorship, and other unique benefits.
