Our client, specializing in power generation and electric design within the aerospace and defense industry, is currently seeking an electrical engineer. In this role, you'll focus on electrical design, ensuring successful development, integration, and verification of electronic designs up to the system level. The role is an on-site position in Santa Barbara, CA. Due to the nature of our clients work, the successful candidate will need to be a U.S Citizen or Green Card Holder. Key Responsibilities:Spearhead product design initiatives from inception through to production.Evaluate controller/power converter solutions.Conduct comprehensive system analyses to assess device suitability for applications.Conduct experiments with high voltage and high current.Aid in the planning and testing of new products, ensuring required analysis is conducted.Document design reports, test outcomes, and failure analyses.Job Requirements:Bachelors degree with over a decade of experience in power electronics hardware design within the industry.Power electronics and full lifecycle design experience.Profound understanding and practical expertise in switching power converters.Proficiency in designing both AC-DC and DC-DC Converters, and adept at progressing from concept to architecture to final design.Ability to craft comprehensive test plans, procedures, and solutions.Knowledge of aerospace or defense standards would be beneficial.
