A brief overviewAny additional information you require for this job can be found in the below text Make sure to read thoroughly, then apply.The Manager of Production will assist the Director of Production in ensuring that all resources are assigned skillfully and efficiently for the manufacture of products while meeting timelines, quality, and quantity.What you will doManage a team of Production Chemists and Technicians for peptide manufacturingSupervise all peptide manufacturing stages which include: synthesis, cleavage, purification, reconstitution and lyophilizationSupervise in-process analysis in all manufacturing stagesAssign tasks for team members and follow up on completionEnsure that written procedures (SOP, BPR) and cGMP guidelines are followedReview and complete cGMP documentationEnsure efficient collaboration between Production department and other supporting departments such as Operations, Logistics, QC, and QATrain Production team members to the required standard of operation and evaluate their performancesAdhere to manufacturing schedules and timelinesPropose technical and chemical improvements of the manufacturing processEnsure safe, efficient and conscious use of the instruments, raw materials and other resourcesEnsure manufacturing and personnel safety and security in the workplaceWrite technical reports and summariesTrain new hires in peptide manufacturingAs Supervisor, set priorities and follow throughQualificationsBachelor's Degree in Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering or equivalent field5+ years laboratory experience8 - 10 years of experience as a production chemist in a cGMP environmentFamiliar with scientific equipment and utilities including but not limited to productionWorking experience with cGMP and safety regulationsWorking experience with cGMP manufacturing and documentation standardsAdvanced PC knowledge including planning toolsSuccessful track record as a supervisor, team leader or project managerProficient with various in-process analytical methodsExcellent written and oral communication skillsAbility to effectively organize, multitask, and work in a fast-paced, deadline driven work environmentAbility to communicate in a proactive and solution-focused manner, including keeping management aware of potential issuesDetail oriented with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve problemsCommunicate effectively and ability to function well in a team environmentPhD (preferred)Experience in Organic Chemistry (preferred)Experience as a peptide production chemist (preferred)Proficient with all peptide manufacturing stages (preferred)Experience with manufacturing equipment such as reactors for commercial scale (preferred)Our people are passionate about what they do, the product they sell, and the customers they serve.
