Director of Engineering$160-185k base salaryOnsite - BaltimoreConsidering making an application for this job Check all the details in this job description, and then click on Apply.I'm working with a family-owned manufacturing company who are currently going through an exciting transformation period and are recruiting for an experienced Director of Engineering to join the business and lead their mechanical, electrical & software engineering functions.Core responsibilities:Leading the design of standard, customized, upgraded and prototype machinesOverseeing the Engineering function consisting of Mechanical, Electrical & Software Engineers as well as R&D/PrototypingCollaborating with Marketing & Sales function to ensure products offer the highest quality of value proposition when it comes to both cost and performanceOverseeing the design and construction of prototypes done via the R&D teamContinuously improving efficiency and performance of the function by utilizing CAD, Microsoft Projects & ERP softwareKey skills & experience:Demonstrable experience in a similar role (5+ years), managing the design on machinery & capital equipment within agreed budget, timeframe and specificationExperience with ERP & PLM softwareHave worked with CAD (Solidworks, AutoCAD, etc.)Project management software experience (Microsoft Projects, etc.)Good knowledge of manufacturing principals and machine shop & assembly operationsAbility to work onsite in Baltimore (relocation packages available)Interested in this role?
