Your duties will include:Leading project planning, ensuring technical excellence, maintaining quality control, and ensuring client satisfaction.Collaborating with clients to define and validate project scopes, offering support in proposal development, scheduling, estimating, and establishing project controls.Expanding our client base and effectively managing diverse engineering teams, with a preference for candidates with established networks in the Chattanooga area.Traveling to client sites approximately one week per month to facilitate communication and coordinate design efforts within project timelines and budgets.Contributing to strategic planning efforts at the corporate and business unit levels, including the development of detailed operational and sales objectives.Providing input to engineering leads regarding resource needs and potentially serving as an account manager for key clients.Required Qualifications:A Bachelor's Degree in engineering is required Proven expertise in project management within A-E (Architecture and Engineering) firms, including managing design efforts within budget and schedule constraints and leading multidisciplinary teams.Experience working collaboratively in design team environments, including directing junior engineers and designers.A minimum of ten years of project execution experience in the power sector, with a strong understanding of power industry projects and utilities.Familiarity with industry best practices, such as front-end planning and VIP (Value Improvement Practices).Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients, partners, project teams, and company management.Possession of a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and insurability under our insurance carrier.US Citizenship for client project requirements.Preferred Qualifications:Local or regional power sector experience and established business relationships.P.E. License.Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.Physical Requirements:This role involves some physical demands, including:Anticipated frequent travel to client sites, ranging from 10% to 30% depending on project needs.Occasional visits to client industrial sites, requiring the ability to access ladders and platforms and wear necessary personal protective equipment (PPE).Extended periods of sitting at a computer workstation.
