A successful candidate will play a critical role in providing in-house technical support, and occasional field level support, to meet production and service goals. The candidate will have ample opportunity to develop within Klein to meet the ever-growing needs of the organization. This position will report to the Production Manager.Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.Key Responsibilities:Configure, test, troubleshoot, and repair SONAR production electronics from system to component level.Complete test and service documentation, ensuring accurate input into the database.Plan, prepare and execute testing at sea to support production goals.Provide support to customer equipment, including occasional field support.Perform physical activities that require considerable use of the body.Up to 10% travel may be required; some international travel is expected.Off-shore testing may be required.Qualifying Attributes and Skills:· Associates degree in a technical/engineering field required; Bachelor's degree preferred. · Prefer 2 years of experience working in a system, or sub-system, test environment. Other relevant experience will be considered.· Excellent troubleshooting skills both at the system and sub system level.· Ability to troubleshoot basic faults over the phone to support customer equipment.· Working knowledge of computers and computer networks.· Proficient with Microsoft Office and Windows operating systems.· Proficient using standard electronic test equipment.· Experience with SONAR/marine navigation/radar technologies & equipment preferred.· Network (LAN/WAN) and CCTV surveillance systems experience a plus.Klein Marine Systems is an equal opportunity employer with a generous compensation package:Healthcare Insurance provided: Health, Dental and Vision PlanElective deductions for Flexible SpendingCompany Paid Life Insurance, Short and Long-Term Disability401(k) Retirement Savings Plan with employer contributionPaid Vacation and Holidays9/80 Work Schedule
