Bernhard's vision is to be the leading EaaS provider in North America through the delivery of excellent, high-value service and innovative solutions for our clients.Purpose and Essential Duties Pre-Construction Manager IV is responsible for managing EAAS preconstruction services. Preconstruction services include providing conceptual and budget estimating for Bernhard's EaaS General Contracting Division (Prime). Generate project estimates and scope out potential subcontractors. The tasks and duties are conceptual and budget estimating, managing subcontractors RFPs, managing the estimating spreadsheets, and supporting the Prime preconstruction department.Specific responsibilities include:Conceptual Estimates: Responsible for developing conceptual estimate strategies and associated documentation. Also prepare estimate proposals, and lead scope reviews.Request for Proposals: Responsible for developing requests for proposals for equipment and subcontractors. Vet and level subcontractors.General System Knowledge: The individual is required to review project documents, learn more advanced system sizing and layout, and become familiar with equipment and system design strategies.QA/QC: The individual is required to provide "self-checks" on estimates. They are expected to provide quality control checks of other employees' work output and, at the discretion of senior estimators, begin to be introduced and participate in the peer review process of estimate summaries.Estimate Generation: The individual is generating estimate summaries based on scope-specific criteria including sub/vendor quotes, and budget parameters.Operational Support: The individual will assist operational Vice Presidents. This includes managing the bid list, producing bid submission and RFP response documentation, and conducting handoff meetings for awarded projects.Public Speaking: The individual is required to present to groups of 5 or more.This position is Full-Time, Exempt, and reports to the Vice President of Estimating of Prime Preconstruction.Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications 30 hours of Continued Education.5+ years' experience in conceptual estimating.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors.Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.Preferred Education, Experience, and Qualifications Not applicable.Travel Requirements 15-25% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location.Physical/Work Environment Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Climbing stairs.Remaining in a stationary position, standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.Quiet environment.Light work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects up to 20 pounds.Don't meet every single requirement?
