Please see the details for the position below.Title: Security AnalystLocation: Remote within the US.The Opportunity: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Security Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring, assessing, and enhancing the security posture of our organization, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our critical systems and data. This role involves proactive threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, and collaboration with various teams to implement effective security controls.Responsibilities: The Information Security Analyst is responsible for operations and administration of the organization's enterprise security solutions and processes. The Information Security Analyst investigates and responds to enterprise security events and requests.Conduct regular security assessments, including vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, and risk assessments.Monitor security events and alerts from various sources, including SIEM tools, network devices, and endpoint security solutions.Investigate and respond to security incidents, conducting thorough analysis and implementing appropriate remediation actions.Collaborate with IT and development teams to implement and maintain security controls, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint protection.Stay up to date with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices, and recommend security enhancements accordingly.Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.Participate in, and assist in, the development of security awareness training and provide guidance to employees on security best practices.Assist in the development and execution of disaster recovery and business continuity plans. Conduct security reviews of third-party vendors and partners to ensure compliance with security standards and contractual obligations.Serve as a subject matter expert on security-related matters, providing guidance, communication, and support to internal stakeholders.The Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.Advanced certifications such as CISSP, CEH are preferred.Proven experience working in the financial services sector, higher education, and or software development, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements such as PCI DSS, GLBA, and GDPR.Hands-on experience with security technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, DLP, endpoint security, and encryption.Familiarity with industry frameworks and standards such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001, and CIS & SOC2 Controls.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex security issues and recommend effective solutions.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.This job description is not designed to contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required.
