They will ensure maximum uptime and stability of all company information tools, communication systems, computer systems, and networks; ensure proper security of the company's data by prevention of unauthorized intrusion and inadvertent data breaches; ensure proper backup and recovery capabilities exist, and security protocols are in place and followed; ensure that governance (JSOX) protocols are followed. The Director of IT will provide strategic leadership and direction, and communication in support of business goals, with the ability to rally employees around the technology path for the company, providing the proper tools and systems to optimize current performance, enhance future performance and provide training as needed for upgrades, new tools, technologies, and system changes to ensure their effective use.Essential Functions• Develop 3-5-year information technology strategic plan that keeps the company current with appropriate IT technologies, resources, systems, and tools to support company growth plans, improve company performance and effectiveness with a positive ROI based on costs and benefits; gain consensus of executive staff on direction and level of investment; update annually• Coordinate with peers/business partners to develop and implement current year strategies with IT solutions• Investigate, develop, and propose IT projects to support overall business objectives that generate positive ROI• Deliver all projects within the appropriate budget and timeframe• Design and execute business plans and policies to ensure the optimization of human resources• Evaluate existing IT tools, systems, and technologies and provide recommended changes for improved efficiency and effective use of company resources• Analyze business objectives and recommend IT related solutions and investments• Keep the company up to date on emerging IT trends and be the advocate for implementing new technology that will improve company performance• Ensure all software, hardware and other IT tools are at the appropriate level of upgrade to be effectively deployed to support efficient company associate activities• Provide technical support services to the company• Develop an annual IT budget/plan to support the business requirements• Establish department goals, objectives and timelines for IT team to ensure optimization of business and alignment with company strategy• Monitor functions of the IT department and ensure compliance to work standards and code of ethics to ensure an effective and highly ethical working environment• Oversee work of staff and provide technical support, feedback, and performance guidance as appropriate• Administer maintenance, licensing and purchase of all company information technology investments• Ensure maximum uptime and stability of all company information reporting, communication systems, tools, computer systems, and networks• Ensure proper hardware, software, and other backup and recovery capabilities are in place, functioning, and prepared for deployment as needed• Ensure proper security of the company's hardware, software, and information by prevention of unauthorized intrusion and inadvertent data breaches• Ensure IT security protocols are in place and being followed• Other duties as needed and assignedKnowledge, Skills & Abilities• A proven track record as a strategic thinker, visionary, thought leader, influencer, and change agent/change manager, with a strategic consulting approach and related skills.• Demonstrated ability to develop key internal and external business partnerships and peer-to-peer relationships.• Broad IT expertise across various disciplines, including systems development, hardware, and software, network and communication infrastructure, system evaluation and selection, cybersecurity, change management, and leadership, etc.• Strong organizational and analytical skills, including program and project management, and ROI of investments.• The ability to work effectively with ambiguity and create solutions to complex problems with a strong results orientation.• Experience leading and developing teams with strong ability to recognize, hire, develop, motivate, and retain high performing staff.• Strong interdisciplinary, intercultural, and networking skills.• Excellent communication skills with an ability to influence, build consensus, and negotiate both internally and externally, capable of Board-level communications.Education & Experience• BS in Computer Science or related technical degree required • Minimum 7 years in IT Management required; leading teams in a manufacturing setting strongly preferred• IT-related certifications strongly preferred (CSM, CISSP, PMP, Six Sigma Certifications, etc.) • 15+ years of progressive IT experience required in growth-oriented, mid-market, multi-site global organizations that utilized manufacturing ERP, distribution WMS, and sales and marketing CRM systems• Demonstrated experience directly leading IT projects, application/software development teams, evaluation, and implementation of new hardware and software systems requiredNotice To Third Party AgenciesPlease note that LANCER does not accept unsolicited resumes from recruiters or employment agencies.
