This key role entails guiding our tech team to ensure our vital business applications are not only maintained and improved but also aligned with our product strategy and development to satisfy our customers' growing needs.Key Responsibilities:Application Support Leadership: Steer our team of application support experts in TMS, providing strategic oversight, coaching, and support to guarantee our applications' dependability and performance.Product Strategy Execution: Spearhead the development and implementation of product strategies for our TMS applications, collaborating with stakeholders to capture requirements, prioritize functionalities, and innovate to fulfill user demands.Collaborative Efforts: Work hand-in-hand with IT, business units, and external partners to assimilate feedback, understand needs, and synchronize on product initiatives and priorities.Process Enhancement: Spot and leverage opportunities to refine processes and integrate automation, boosting the application support and product development efficiency.Vendor Oversight: Oversee engagements with external vendors and software providers, ensuring commitments are met and resolving issues swiftly.Application Monitoring: Set up metrics and monitoring tools to observe application and product performance, addressing issues proactively to reduce downtime and enhance user satisfaction.Lifecycle Management: Manage the full product lifecycle, from inception through launch to discontinuation, ensuring timely, budget-conscious, and quality product delivery.Industry Insights: Perform market research and competitive analysis to grasp trends and challenges in the transportation sector, applying these insights to guide product strategy.Customer Interaction: Connect with customers to collect feedback, understand challenges, and uncover opportunities for product improvement and new features.Budget Administration: Plan and control the budget for application support and product management, maximizing resource efficiency and cost-effectiveness.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related; a higher degree is a plus.At least 5 years in application support or similar, with a robust background in product management and software development, preferably within the transportation industry.Demonstrated experience in managing intricate software applications and leading product strategy.Strong leadership qualities and the ability to galvanize and direct teams.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and innovative thinking skills, aimed at continuous enhancement.Superior communication skills, adept at simplifying technical details for a general audience.Experience with Agile practices and methodologies, like Scrum or Kanban.Adaptability in a rapidly changing environment, ready to adjust to new challenges and demands.
