This team provides support to middle and back office application teams with all their database needs. They are looking for a database administrator/developer to develop and maintain large and complex database systems using Hadoop, Oracle, and other technologies.In this role you will:Design, develop, and support database applications for our middle/Backoffice data systemsDesign solutions using Hadoop, Hive, Druid, Spark technologiesMaintain and support our Oracle database instance and applications in a high-transaction environmentPerform routine and customary operational activities to ensure a stable database environmentBecome a data domain expertDesign, develop, and support Linux shell scripts and Python for batch processingProvide production support off hours/weekend, when neededQualifications:At least 5 years of experience with Hadoop developmentHands-on experience building solutions in OracleExperience with query performance tuningExperience with Python and Unix Shell scripting requiredAbility and flexibility to provide occasional off hour/weekend supportA Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline or its foreign equivalent.
