Kennedy Jenks is seeking a detail oriented Stormwater Engineer to work within our multi-disciplinary engineering team in the planning, design, and construction various stormwater projects, delivering high-quality services to our Portland area clients that exceed their expectations. As a Stormwater Engineer at Kennedy Jenks, you will be instrumental in the successful execution of stormwater projects for both private and municipal clients.Are you the right candidate for this opportunity Make sure to read the full description below.Key Responsibilities:Maintain, update, and review stormwater management plans (SWMPs/SWPPPs).Prepare comprehensive paving, grading, and drainage plans.Prepare permitting applications for submission to local regulatory agencies.Conduct quality assurance and quality control reviews of work products, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and procedures.Analyze construction grading/drainage plans to determine stormwater flow and design appropriate Best Management Practices (BMPs).Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary design teams, assisting with various coordination tasks, data compilation, interpretation, and health and safety plan preparation.Support project leaders where needed in development, scheduling, and cost estimate preparation. Maintain up to date project documentation and data to ensure effective communication.Collaborate with both internal and field team members to achieve project goalsQualifications: BS in Civil, Environmental or related engineering field2-5 years of relevant stormwater engineering experienceWorking proficiency in AutoCAD (Civil 3D), Microsoft Office, and Microsoft ExcelEngineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred, working toward Professional Engineer (PE) licenseStrong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a multi-disciplinary technical teamValid driver's license and acceptable driving recordLocal occasional travel to project sites will be needed.Kennedy Jenks supports a healthy work-life balance and utilizes a hybrid model of home and office work to empower our people to thrive and achieve their full potential.Salary range for this position is anticipated to be $75,000 to $110,000, and may vary based upon education, experience, qualifications, licensure/certifications and geographic location.Benefits summary: Medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401k, bonus opportunities, tuition reimbursement, professional registration support, a competitive PTO and holiday plan, and other benefits and programs.
