Job Description:

As a CAD Designer, you will collaborate with other designers in a team setting to create 3D models and 2D drawings, requiring knowledge and skill in drafting methods, procedures, and techniques. This is a direct hire opportunity.Please make sure you read the following details carefully before making any applications.REQUIREMENTS:Two-year college degree, or completion of a specialized study at a business or trade schoolCompletion of Mechanical Engineering coursework is a plus, but not required2 - 5+ years of experience in industries and related fieldsExperience should include complex parts modeling and drawings as well as assembliesExperience with fabrication drawings is a plusApplicant should be proficient in the use SolidWorks for 3D modeling and 2d drawings is requiredA basic understanding of AutoCAD, Inventor, and Bim content for construction is a plusAbility to lift 25 poundsAbility to travel when requiredRESPONSIBILITIES:Work closely with design originators preparing 3D models and 2D drawings of parts and assemblies including the appropriate views and sections from verbal instructions, models, or sketches using conventional drafting standardsExercise independent judgment based on the designer's intent and independently resolves questions where needed information is not readily availableAttend virtual construction meetings and resolve issues discussed during those meetingsCreate and maintain bills of materialsAssist plant personnel, sales, and vendors, with questions concerning drawings as necessaryWork with Order Entry to transfer non-standard bills of materials as necessaryMaintain work order log and files as necessaryPerform other tasks as requiredMAU Workforce Solutions is an innovative global company with extensive experience providing solutions for success in staffing, recruiting, technology and outsourcing to our clients, employees, and applicants.
