Do you have the right skills and experience for this role Read on to find out, and make your application.The Senior Information Technology Support Engineer is a key member of the IT support team responsible for providing expert-level technical assistance and support to ensure the smooth operation of virtual devices, Azure cloud services, and Office 365 applications. This role involves resolving complex technical issues, implementing and maintaining IT systems, and providing guidance to junior team members. The Senior IT Support Engineer plays a critical role in driving efficiency, reliability, and security within the organization's IT infrastructure.Key Responsibilities:Virtual Device Management:Manage virtualization infrastructure using platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, or Citrix.Configure, deploy and maintain virtual machines and virtual desktop environments.Monitor virtual device performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize resource utilization.Azure Cloud Services:Design, implement, and manage Azure cloud services and solutions.Deploy and maintain virtual machines, storage, networking, and other Azure resources.Monitor Azure resources for performance, availability, and security compliance.Office 365 Administration:Administer Office 365 applications including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive.Configure and manage user accounts, licenses, and security settings within Office 365.Provide support for Office 365 applications, troubleshoot issues, and escalate to Microsoft support if needed.Technical Support and Issue Resolution:Provide expert-level technical support to end-users and IT staff for virtual devices, Azure services, and Office 365 applications.Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to IT infrastructure, networking, and software applications.Document support tickets, resolutions, and best practices for knowledge sharing and future reference.Infrastructure Monitoring and Optimization:Monitor the performance, availability, and security of virtual devices, Azure resources, and Office 365 applications.Implement proactive measures to optimize resource utilization, improve performance, and enhance security.Conduct periodic audits and assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.Training and Mentorship:Provide training and mentorship to junior support engineers on virtualization, cloud services, and Office 365 administration.Share expertise, best practices, and technical knowledge to foster professional growth and development within the team.Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT infrastructure, security, and application development teams.Engage with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide tailored IT solutions and support.Participate in IT projects and initiatives to drive innovation, efficiency, and alignment with business objectives.Qualifications and Skills:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).Extensive experience in IT support roles with a focus on virtualization, cloud services, and Office 365 administration.Strong technical expertise in virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, or Citrix.Proficiency in Microsoft Azure cloud services including VMs, storage, networking, and security.In-depth knowledge of Office 365 applications and administration including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive.Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve complex technical issues promptly.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, VMware Certified Professional (VCP), etc., are advantageous.
