Likely to extend multi-year/option to hire.Client: A major global corporation and a leader in their industry operating over 350 manufacturing facilities with annual revenue earning over $19 B and employing over 15,000.A variety of soft skills and experience may be required for the following role Please ensure you check the overview below carefully.Overview:Position will provide project management, engineering inspection and control to support quality workmanship, safe environment, job project staffing, schedule adherence, QA/QC activities and follow up action items. This position will have focus on mechanical piping construction/installation aspects of a manufacturing greenfield plant startup. Provide daily and weekly reports to the Site Management Team.Role:Coordinate daily installation activities with construction contractors while effectively communicating to all stakeholders.Manage the extra work order (EWO) process to include updating and tracking the EWO log.Ensure subcontractors weekly quality control inspection reports are completed - inclusive of weekly tests and inspection on key areas.Set and drive a culture of safety, communication, teamwork and accountability.Be in the field supporting all aspects of project execution based on daily schedule and look-ahead schedule to mitigate risk, hold contractors accountable to installation quality and workmanship.Ensure a safe working environment based on Nestle H&S specifications.Evaluate welding, reinforcing steel, underground piping, concrete, testing and observation, equipment, alignment, fabricated items, insulation (pipe covering), labeling (pipe & equipment), and cost codes.Review design vs. installation planning in the field to ensure proper installation and avoid clashes.Build and/or maintain critical path schedules to ensure program status is communicated to appropriate stakeholders- including critical look-a heads for overall project & sub-projects.Validate and perform redlines for final as-built documentation.Perform inspection/verification.Installation (including materials), plans & specifications, contracts, and equipment purchased.Ensure adherence to safety protocols regarding contractors, plant, engineering (including 3rd party contracted consulting firms) and vendor representatives.Qualifications:8 - 10+ years experience in manufacturing plant construction.Mechanical piping construction/installation experience in a food, pharmaceutical, or consumer packaged goods manufacturing environment.Experienced managing projects through all phases of construction.Experienced performing project functions including project planning, project scope, scheduling, timelines, budgets and risk.Experienced in an industrial manufacturing environment.MS Office 365 including Teams and SharePoint.BIM 360 or similar project management software.PMP, PMI, GAC, CCM, CMCI, CMAA or similar certifications is a plus.Manufacturing plant startup experience is a plus.
