As an Instrumentation and Electrical Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and installing a diverse range of instrumentation and electrical equipment within our plant. Working both collaboratively and independently, you will ensure the smooth operation of electrical systems, instrumentation, and analyzers crucial to the functionality of the SkyMine plant.ResponsibilitiesPractical experience working with Control/Automated Valves, Pressure/Temperature Transmitters, Medium voltage switchgear, and MCCs, including motor control circuits.Responsibilities entail installation, inspection, maintenance, operation, troubleshooting, repair, and calibration of various mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic equipment. This includes thorough documentation of all tasks.Collaborate with fellow I/E technicians to ensure timely completion of tasks.Proficient in troubleshooting, repairing, replacing, and installing components of DCS, PLC, and HMI systems, as well as motors, A/C and D/C VFDs, electrical circuits, and MCC starters.Maintains up-to-date knowledge of Operations Qualifications and undergoes required training.Knowledge | Skills | Abilities | Working ConditionsProficient in troubleshooting, calibrating, replacing, rebuilding, and installing control valves/instrumentation.Solid understanding of National Electric Codes.Hands-on experience with medium (13.8kV) and low (480/277, 120/208) voltage equipment.Capable of promptly identifying, reporting, and rectifying safety and environmental issues.Availability to promptly respond to and manage callouts and emergencies, even beyond regular business hours and after dark, within a one-hour timeframe.Residency within a one-hour response/travel distance to the SkyMine facility.Willingness to work overtime when necessary.Possession and maintenance of a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record as per the company's standards and its insurers.Ability to endure prolonged periods of standing, walking, and climbing.Capability to lift a minimum of twenty pounds in awkward positions, with occasional lifting of up to fifty pounds from floor to waist.Education and ExperiencePossession of a two-year associate degree in relevant technical training or commensurate professional experience.Demonstrated proficiency with at least 3 years of work experience as an electrical, instrumentation, or controls technician, preferably within a process-driven industry such as Oil & Gas, Chemical, or Power sectors.Join us in revolutionizing carbon-negative technologies and making a meaningful impact on the environment while delivering essential chemical products.
