As ofJanuary 2022, the Company has a global team of approximately 2000 employees.Job DescriptionThe Business Applications Manager partners with business leaders and their team to analyze, design and improve work processes by leveraging information technology systems and services. This role works on requirements definition, application configuration changes and implementation for Zai's ERP system and other critical business applications (primarily SAP (Financials) and/or Coupa).Assess business problems and processes to identify actionable opportunities for improvement, design solutions, and determine financial impact.Manage strategic business initiatives from business requirements through successful execution and partnership with our business leaders.Perform root cause analysis, create corrective and preventative action, facilitate attainment of measurable outcomes. Conduct needs assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and sustainment of change.Partner with subject matter experts to identify and implement the metrics of success required across business units and cross-functional teams.Define and maintain detailed specification documents for modifications and new development of reports and expanded application functionality.Lead activities in support of acquisition, integrations including configurations, conversions, and change management.Perform QA testing of new features to ensure that requirements are met, and the resulting user experience is as intended.Lead and support user acceptance testing activities and the deployment of the solution to production.Manage and track the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforce and redefine, as necessary.Understand integration points and analyze impacts with other systems that interface with the applications.Provide support to end users including managing issue resolution and performing root cause analysis.Work with our outside consultant partners to resolve system production issues or with an implementation.QualificationsRequired:Bachelor's degree in Information Technology (IT), Computer Science (CS), Software Engineering, or related discipline with five years direct experience in supporting or leading aspects of SAP implementation; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.Experience with Financial Systems requiredPreferred:Master's degreeCoupa or Procurement experienceBioPharma experience or Life Sciences experienceExcellent English written and verbal communication skills and the ability to prepare and conduct presentations and prepare training material.Quick learning ability and easy adaptability to new environments.Ability to provide business recommendations for designing new solutions. Can develop Proof-of-Concept projects to validate new architectures and solutions.Ability to prioritize and effectively manage assigned work.Ability to identify needs of end users and take appropriate action.Good analytical and critical thinking skillsStrong Project Management SkillsAdditional InformationThe pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $139K and $154K/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
