This individual will play a vital role in supporting our manufacturing operation, which specializes in the production of forged and machined components. In addition to traditional manufacturing engineering responsibilities, the individual will also be involved in new product development and the creation of innovative products to meet market demand. Responsibilities include optimizing labor and equipment utilization, controlling costs, ensuring production schedules are met, maintaining product quality, fostering positive employee relations, and promoting safety and housekeeping practices. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual to gain hands-on experience in both traditional manufacturing processes and cutting-edge product and project development initiativesPrinciple Duties and Responsibilities Efficiently manage manufacturing project in scope and execution to adhere to customer deadlines and stay within budget constraintsAct as the primary point of contact for customers during new product development phases.Provide comprehensive support for quoting processesTake proactive measures to uphold production schedules, take ownership of assigned products and collaborate with other departments to execute engineering projectsDevelop solid models for assigned products and update process instructions as neededDrive continuous improvement efforts for products and manufacturing processesDesign and create in-process gages, fixtures, and mylarsRequirementsBachelor of Science in Mechanical, Industrial, Aeronautical, or Engineering field requiredMinimum of 1 Year of Experience in PPAPs or 3PExcellent communication skills both verbally and in writing, adept at problem-solving analytically, mechanically astute, and creatively innovative with a hands-on approachAdvanced engineering drawing (blueprint) reading including GD&TAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyProficiency in SolidWorks, CREO, MS-OfficeMust be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident due to ITAR requirementsHBD Industries is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
