The purpose of the role is to carry out System Safety Engineering activities on rotorcraft flight control systems within scope of US Product Base.Duties and Responsibilities:Conduct safety analysis in support of aircraft design, development and, certification on US products (to include AW609, AW119, AW139). Prepare associated documentation. Communicate and coordinate with all relevant stakeholders to ensure the defined hazard classifications are accepted. Develop and monitor metrics and report status to leadership.Track and coordinate validation of safety assumptions and collection of artifacts. Interface with FAA, DERs, and/or other regulatory agencies to justify assessments and aircraft design in the context of safety.Support and coordinate with supply chain management/procurement on vendor activities and deliverables. Education:Bachelor of Science in a relevant engineering discipline such as Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.Experience:5+ years of professional experience in a system safety role within aerospace using ARP-4761 or NASA CSRM.2 + years of experience participating in commercial aircraft certification programs.Experience applying Systems Engineering standards ARP-4754, ARP-4761 or NASA CSRMExperience conducting Fault Tree Analysis with tools such as Isograph Reliability Workbench Experience interfacing with external suppliers in the context of safety analysis
