Chemical (process) Engineer Hybrid!!Location: Luling, LA 700703-5 years of experience in a chemical manufacturing facility - preferred!Duration of the contract: full-time hours 12 months + Health benefits after 60 days; sick time Pay: $50 per hour (starting $104,000.00 per year)Please double check you have the right level of experience and qualifications by reading the full overview of this opportunity below.Project Process Engineer Responsibilities:Identify and complete all process engineering design/deliverables for projects when required.Work with area personnel and management to develop project justification.Lead review of outside engineering firm process engineering analysis for assigned projects.Lead assigned projects from concept definition, FEL 1/2/3, detailed design, construction through to project closure.Validate project improvements and cost savings associated with project after implementation.Mark up P&IDs as required for all assigned projects.Modification of PFDs, material and/or energy balances.Modification of other pertinent parts of the PMF (operating procedures, JTAs, LOTOs etc.).Development of process control definition for assigned projects.Provide process datasheets for instrumentation/equipment as required.Work with unit personnel to develop and execute operator training for projects.Lead project MOCs/HSE/Pre-Startup-Safety Reviews working with project/unit personnel.Lead all assigned project PHAs and reviews up to and including hazard and operability studies.Ensure that all aspects of a modification or project meet environmental regulations.Work with area engineers to assist in checkout, commissioning, and startup of new projects.Provide technical assistance troubleshooting plant issues with unit personnel as required.Preferred Experience:3-7 years Chemical/Process Engineering experience in a chemical manufacturing facilityExperience leading and executing capital projects in a chemical manufacturing facility.Experience with Equipment Sizing Calculations and Design (Pumps, Valves, Piping, Instruments).PPE Requirements: Standard Manufacturing Facility PPE. Bayer will provide Hard Hat, Safety Glasses, Gloves, Earplugs.Working Conditions: Mix of in office and field work on site.
