This position offers a customer-focused UX/UI designer the opportunity to use their knowledge of industry UX best practices to help research, define, sequence, prototype, design, test, and deliver next-generation, intuitive solutions. You will help set a compelling, coherent UX direction that helps improve user productivity and satisfaction, clinical and operational outcomes for customers, and drive business growth for the company.What you will do:Customer researchWork with a product team to understand customer problems and create and test prototypes as a solution to those problemsRun usability tests with customers to uncover areas of uncertainty and streamline product workflowsBuild and present customer insights to help drive decision-makingVisual ImplementationPrototyping: Create low and high-res UI mockups, wireframes, user workflow diagrams, and prototypes to communicate specs & requirements visually to product delivery teamsWhiteboarding: Comfortable leading a group through a design brainstormDesign standards: Ensure a consistent user experience across all software productsIllustration: Can produce highly styled illustrations that have meaning and are easy to understandAnimation: Understands motion graphics and can apply those skills to create an engaging user experienceBasicsWork alongside an empowered team to create software and experiences that delight our customersBe a leader in Product Discovery and Product Delivery meetingsDemonstrate a strong understanding of Agile software development as well as Lean UX methodologies and troubleshoot the challenges of integrating UX into an Agile modelPoint the team towards thinking about the user of the software and their needsThink big picture and create visuals of what the entire software suite will look like and how it will operateLead regular user research and design review meetingsGive and solicit feedback from other team members to learn from one another and see the problem from a variety of anglesBe approachable and establish a mutual respect and trust with product managers, engineers, quality assurance, and other designersDrive user experiences from start to finish that deliver results and connect with our customersRequired personal competenciesEmpathy: the capacity to place oneself in another's positionCuriosity: constantly learning and thinking about self-improvementEnthusiasm: focuses on the positive aspects of any challengeLeadership: demonstrates leadership on teamsCollaboration: proven ability to work as a team playerTransparency: ability to give and receive feedback in a positive, constructive mannerOrganization: ability to multi-task and meet deadlinesPreferred Education or ExperienceBachelor's Degree in Graphic, Interaction, Industrial Design or related field of study or similar work experience5+ years of professional experience in a UX/UI Design or related fieldProficient in the Adobe XD, Figma, Microsoft Office, and other tools as needed
