We are seeking a seasoned professional for the role of Senior Manufacturing & Process Engineer, who will leverage their extensive expertise in manufacturing, equipment selection, and design to collaborate with product R&D/design engineering. In this dynamic role, you will play a pivotal part in discovering, defining, developing, and validating new assembly and quality test equipment, as well as innovative assembly process solutions. Your focus will be a blend of crafting assembly and test processes, establishing critical quality test requirements, evaluating process risks, and formulating effective solutions to guide development and product launch, and discovering of new opportunities for process improvement whether documentation, equipment, fixtures, etc..You can get further details about the nature of this opening, and what is expected from applicants, by reading the below.Job Responsibilities:Implement and optimize production cells, including assembly process equipment, fixturing, and test solutions for New Product Introduction into manufacturing.Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and elevate product quality on existing production lines.Leading product and process for product development egineering for improved manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.Identifying and assessing potential process risks, maintaining up-to-date process FMEA, and managing other quality records.Overseeing new products during the pilot production phase through successful project launch.Creating efficient manufacturing assembly lines, specifying and refining Bills of Materials, workflows, and detailed work instructions.Focusing on opportunities for design for manufacturability, semi-automated and automated solutions, and design for assembly to optimize safety, reliability, serviceability, manufacturability, and cost.Driving NPI schedules, resolving manufacturability issues, and implementing improvements.Collaborating with external vendors and the product development team to define production test equipment requirements, establish clear statements of work, and deliver production cells on time for product releases.Performing comprehensive failure analysis to identify the root cause of emergent production issues, efficiently documenting, mitigating, and closing non-conformances, and conducting requalification of production equipment.Utilizing analytical objective data and statistical analysis to advise and drive decisions.Taking responsibility for the validation, qualification, and documentation of manufacturing equipment and processes using standard qualification approaches (IQ/OQ/DQ/PQ/PPQ).Mentoring and setting project tasks for Manufacturing Engineers on their specific project team and other teams as needed to enhance company expertise and effectiveness.Job Qualifications:B.S. Degree in EngineeringOver 6+ years of experience in new product development, tooling design, and process developmentUnderstanding of test processes, documentation and validation
