The Senior Accountant will also serve as the primary point of contact during the company's annual audit. Additional responsibilities include ad-hoc financial reporting, financial planning and analysis related duties, and lender covenant reporting.ResponsibilitiesPreparation of day-to-day and month end general journal entries, including complex payroll, cost of sales, and intra-entity entriesReconciliation of all balance sheet accounts for multiple legal and operational entitiesReview and approval of journal entries prepared by finance operations staffPreparation of full set of financial statements and supporting schedules within monthly close deadlineAnalysis of financial variances to budgets, prior periods, and expected amountPreparation of lender covenant required financial reportsServing as primary point of contact for company's financial auditors for interim and year-end testingSupport for treasury and banking functions as neededAd-hoc financial reporting and analysisOther duties assignedQualificationsBachelor's Degree in Accounting or FinanceCPA preferred3+ years ofexperience working at the staff or senior level in public accounting or corporate accountingAbility to handle sensitive, confidential information with proper careComfort working in a deadline driven environmentComfort handling changing priorities and unexpected circumstancesAbility to present financial numbers and concepts in a clear understandable way to internal and external users; comfortable speaking to and working directly with executive management
