They will also ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability, maintaining security, backup, and redundancy issues.They will also provide 3rd level technical support.Projects / Day to Day:Assisting with engineering initiativesWorking on the infrastructure operations teamWhen an environment is going down or in a degradative state, this person would need to fix this.They are T3 support and are the point of escalation if T1 / T2 teams can't alleviate the support issueIf T3 team (this person's team) can't handle the support issue, it would be escalated to the vendor - last stop
