In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our virtualized infrastructure using VMware, troubleshooting and resolving escalated incidents, and providing advanced support for Active Directory. You will work collaboratively with other IT team members to ensure the smooth operation and optimal performance of our IT systems.Responsibilities:Manage and maintain VMware vSphere environment, including vCenter Server, ESXi hosts, and virtual machines.Perform routine maintenance tasks such as patching, updates, and backups.Implement and configure new virtual machines and migrate existing physical servers to the virtual environment.Troubleshoot and resolve escalated incidents related to virtual machines, networking, storage, and other IT infrastructure components.Document troubleshooting procedures and solutions for knowledge sharing.Provide advanced support for Active Directory, including user and group management, security configurations, and Group Policy Object creation.Monitor system performance and identify potential issues before they impact users.Collaborate with other IT team members on projects and initiatives.Participate in continuous learning and professional development to stay current with the latest technology trends.Qualifications:Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer or related role.Proven experience with VMware vSphere, including vCenter Server and ESXi hosts.Strong understanding of Active Directory concepts and administration.Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python) a plus.Relevant industry certifications (VMware VCP, Microsoft MCSA) a plus.Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
