Job Description:

We are looking for a mid-to-senior level Network Support Engineer for our IT organization. Reporting to the Manager of Network Engineering, you will be responsible for designing, executing, and supporting all facets of our network and telecommunications environment. Your duties will encompass IT and OT (field) networks, physical and cloud network environments, and both industrial field locations and offices. This role requires a 5-day work-week on site at either our local field operations site or our main office in Canonsburg, PA.Read on to find out what you will need to succeed in this position, including skills, qualifications, and experience.Key Responsibilities:- Daily monitoring of our data network and telecommunication environment's reliability and availability.- Design, build, and maintain various networks including LAN, WAN, VPN, Cloud, cellular (M2M), and wireless.- Maintain firewalls and similar access controls including micro-segmentation solutions.- Deploy and maintain 802.1x network access control (NAC).- Maintain accurate network inventory / CMDB and other network documents.- Engage in ITIL-compliant change management processes.- Develop and uphold configuration standards based on cybersecurity policies and best practices.- Participate in cybersecurity audits and related remediation activities.- Uphold network management, monitoring, and logging systems.Minimum Requirements:- BS in IT, Computer Science or a related field.- At least five years' experience in networking, cybersecurity, system administration, or telecommunications.- Advanced comprehension of network routing and switching concepts, including BGP, NEMO/DMNR, client and site-to-site VPNs, STP, 802.11 wi-fi, 802.1x authentication (NAC) and other relevant technologies.- Ability to work individually, in teams, or as a technical/project lead.- Strong analytical, diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse user community.- Capability of conducting research into issues and products as needed.- Skill to prioritize and execute tasks, appropriately delegate responsibilities, and make prompt, effective decisions.- Self-motivated and directed.- Ability to function well under high-stress and exhibits composure and focus.- Technical proficiency in Aruba routing, switching, wi-fi, and NAC, Cisco routing and switching, Azure and AWS virtual cloud networking, Palo Alto firewalls (including SDWAN and NVA concepts and configuration), Guardicore micro-segmentation/access control, Solarwinds network management platform.
