The Lead Java Developer will play a pivotal role in driving the technical direction of projects, mentoring team members, and ensuring the successful delivery of Java-based applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java/J2EE development, expertise in Spring framework, experience with microservices architecture, and a passion for leading and inspiring a team towards excellence.ResponsibilitiesLead a team of Java developers in designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable software solutions.Provide technical leadership and guidance to team members, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications and architecture designs.Drive the development of microservices-based applications using Java/J2EE technologies and Spring framework.Architect and implement solutions for complex business requirements, ensuring performance, scalability, and security.Lead code reviews, ensuring code quality, performance, and maintainability.Mentor junior developers, fostering their growth and development within the team.Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending innovative solutions to enhance product capabilities.Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize features, plan releases, and ensure timely delivery of software solutions.Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.QualificationsBachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.8+ years of experience in Java/J2EE development, with at least 2 years in a lead role.Proficiency in Java programming language and related technologies (Spring, Hibernate, etc.).Strong understanding of microservices architecture and experience with building microservices-based applications.Experience with RESTful web services, SOAP, and other communication protocols.Familiarity with front-end technologies such as Angular, React, or Vue.js is a plus.Solid understanding of software development lifecycle, Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.At IBS, you can look forward to:Working with the latest technologiesOperating with the brightest minds in the industryGaining in-depth domain knowledgeReceiving global exposureBenefiting from continuous learning programsFunctioning out of state-of-the-art facilities and infrastructurePerformance-based career growthImbibing excellent work cultureCompetitive compensation, company paid employee benefits, vacation, sick and personal leave, company matched retirement plansIBS is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
