They are hiring for a Field Service Engineer to work across Richmond, Virginia. Your focus will be to support multiple Control System engineering customers and project teams across the full lifecycle of their process control software DeltaV. This is to ensure that the development cycle starting from development to end of life is a smooth transition mitigating risks as you go. You will be expected to travel extensively to different clients manufacturing sites to complete the commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting phases of the automation control systems. It is important to ensure you keep professional under pressure during these process startups. Responsibilities: Conducting approximately 75% of work on-site at customer facilities within driving distance of our office.Engaging in 25-50% overnight travel for multi-day engagements.Designing, building, and supporting IT-OT control systems, encompassing: Virtual computer infrastructure designFailover and backup/recovery system designNetwork architecture design and administrationInstallation and troubleshooting of computer networks (both hardwired and wireless)Configuration of Active Directories, Terminal Services, and User AccountsDeployment and management of thin client networksProviding on-site and remote support for customers' distributed control systems, including: Conducting System Performance AuditsTroubleshooting field instrumentation and valve-related issuesInstalling and troubleshooting Microsoft operating systemsAddressing computer hardware-related problemsCommissioning and startup of distributed control systemsModifying and tuning control systems on-siteEstablishing interfaces to PLCs, Drives, and Bus-Based NetworksAssisting in the quotation process and providing technical sales support for control system field service solutionsExperience and Skills: Previous leadership experience within a project setting Experience with the DeltaV Distributed Control System.Experience with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) systemsExperience with installing and troubleshooting Microsoft Operating Systems.Familiarity with networking, switches, and firewalls.Knowledge of backup & recovery solutions.Understanding of cybersecurity principles.Expertise in data integration & data historians.Familiarity with virtualization technologies.to meet project deadlines and meet team commitments on these projectsunderstanding in working independently and collaboratively with customer project teamsSalary and Benefitsis up to $135,000,00 per annumcar and phone are providedexpenses / hotel accommodation / food covered by the business
