In this role, this individual will initially work independently but ultimately will be expected to grow and manage a small team. The Asset Management Group's primary responsibilities include portfolio surveillance, risk management, maximization of return for the firm's investment portfolio, and asset valuation, amongst other items. Ideal candidates will be organized, self-motivated, resourceful, and able to work effectively with all internal functional groups.Responsibilities:Independently manage a wide range of bespoke illiquid credit investments including monitoring of business and financial performance of the portfolio counterparty as well as research and analysis of market dynamicsReview and analyze deal structure, financial statements, cash flow forecasts, asset collateral, 13-week cash flow statements, covenants and legal documentationGenerate detailed financial models and projections, sensitivity analysis, covenant analysis, duration, LTV, and IRR and NPV calculations, amongst othersNegotiate and carry out amendments, waivers, consents and any other legal documents pertaining to the asset under management, including but not limited to, in and out of court restructuring processesAnalyze, propose, negotiate, and implement the sale or refinancing of assetsAbility to effectively communicate both internally and externally with C-Suite individuals. Responsible for monthly valuation of all assigned financingsMust be a "Player Coach", with personal responsibility for modeling and managing complicated assets, while overseeing and training team members and support analystsExtensive interface with Front Office, Asset Management, Finance and Operations teams, as well as Quaestor Strategic AdvisorsPrepare presentations and memorandum that will include background information, transaction structure, financial projections, and recommendationsWork with the Managing Directors of Asset Management to build out the team overtime as the asset base growsRequirementsThe individual will have demonstrated an ability to work in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment with the ability to think broadly about the business, incorporating continual improvement of processes and procedures with a goal of excellence, while focusing on accuracy and efficiency.4-5 years industry experience in credit and restructuring roles ideally with experience at a restructuring firm or experience in a direct lending or credit hedge fund role. Strong fundamental credit, negotiating, influencing, and loan document skills. Heavy exposure to legal processes, including bankruptcy and UCC foreclosure. Must be able to direct attorneys through the restructure processExposure to diverse credit structures, complicated structured illiquid transactions, and a broad base of industriesExcellent oral and written communication skills and Excel modeling capabilities including abilityUndergraduate degree from a top institution; MBA or CFA a plusHighest level of personal integrity and ethical standards.
