Job Description:

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Cryogenic Engineer. This opportunity is for a self-motivated individual to join our field engineering team as part our Advanced Processing Solutions division. We are seeking a Cryogenic Test Management Engineer to join our team based out of Linthicum, MD. This role will focus on transformational technology, state-of-the-art next generation superconducting electronics, and advanced computing technologies.Find out exactly what skills, experience, and qualifications you will need to succeed in this role before applying below.Role & Responsibilities:Demonstrating project management skills and championing process improvement activities.Establishing and analyzing test procedures.Devising and implementing methods and procedures for evaluating the accuracy of test stand installs and qualification.Devising and implementing methods and procedures for tracking test assets and developing a plan for periodic review of assets activity (e.g., in use, idle, at calibration, needs repair/upgrade, awaiting final disposition, etc.) across multiple labs.Providing reports on the status of all assets to the program offices as required.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree or higher in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Physics with 5 years of related experience, or 3-7 years with a master's degree, or 0-4 years with a PhD.This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with poly clearance per business requirements.Strong problem solving and analytical skills.Ability to communicate effectively to team members both verbally and in writing.Experience troubleshooting electronic test systems.Cabling and Rack installation/cyber system integration experience.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with superconducting electronics test platforms.Experience with cryogenic test environments.Experience with microwave electronics.Experience with systems software such as MatLab, Solidworks, or LabView.Ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements.Active TS/SCI with poly security clearance
