Job SummaryThe Programmer III will participate in functional and technical tasks to support configuration, development, and maintenance of enterprise applications. In this role, you will be expected to work with our business stakeholders, architects, and other teams to analyze and understand business/data requirements and process flows and develop solutions to meet those requirements. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, self-directed, hands-on developer with a great passion in development, capable troubleshooting skills, and is quick at analysis and resolving issues. zzApplying for this role is straight forward Scroll down and click on Apply to be considered for this position.This role calls for a dynamic, highly motivated professional with strong communication skills who must be able to work in a varied, fast paced environment as part of the service delivery function for TMNA Services (TMNAS) and its Group Companies.Must have a technical background with over 4 years of hands-on experience in software development on technologies like .NET or Java.Key ResponsibilitiesLead/Participate in the analysis, requirements, design, configuration and technical implementation of different insurance applicationsParticipate in the identification and documentation of business, functional, and technical problemsTranslate functional requirements into high-level technical designs and/or business processes.Participate in the design of solutions to meet business needsResponsible for the development and maintenance of SDLC artifacts related to implementationResearch, evaluate and provide input to potential solutions taking into consideration project constraints, organizational architecture standards, customer business processes and emerging technologies, where applicableParticipate in the development of work tasks, estimates, schedules, materials and plans to meet business needsLead on-going production support for implemented projectsManage production support tickets in terms of severityProvide resolution of support ticketsProvide reporting of project status to project management and leadershipAnalyze and troubleshoot production issues and determine the root cause of problemsKeep pace with newer technologies and look for ways to add value incrementallyProvide technical leadership and expertise to the support team/partners as part of various projects, initiatives, or operations supportIdentify and perform processes to produce high quality and reliable solutionsIdentify areas of improvement and follow/implement processes to improve the overall efficiencyPlan & lead technical application upgradesWork collaboratively with the Enterprise Architect, BA, QA teams and subject matter experts of the various upstream and downstream systems in the design and development of solutionsAlign to the maintenance and enforcement of SDLC processes, departmental standards, style requirements and all other procedures necessary for data and system integrityComply with proper internal controls as necessary to conduct job functions and/or carry out responsibilities and/or administrative activities at the CompanyEstablish and build strong working relations and partnerships with Business Units and Senior ManagementPerform special projects and other duties as may be assignedQualificationsDegree / Licenses and Professional CertificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or a related technical discipline preferredExperienceMust have over 4 years of experience in software development of solutions (Java or .NET), lead experience is a plusExperience working with Azure DevOps, source code repositories such Azure DevOps Server (TFS) or GIT, build & deployment processExperience developing web services using SOAP/REST, integrating with Azure APIM servicesExperience with XML/XSLT/XPATHExperience working with Agile methodologies such as SCRUMExperience working with SQL using SQL Server/Oracle databasesExperience working in Insurance industry P&C sector is a plusKnowledgeKnowledge and working experience with SQL or T-SQL is requiredKnowledge of Portal design concepts such as integration, security, collaboration, SSOKnowledge of packaged applications such as OnBase, ImageRight, DocuSign or any Insurance suite is a plusKnowledge of Service Now for ticketing is a plusEEO Statement:Tokio Marine Group of Companies (including, but not limited to the Philadelphia Insurance Companies, Tokio Marine America, Inc., TMNA Services, LLC, TM Claims Service, Inc. and First Insurance Company of Hawaii, Ltd.) is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
