The creation of this new position at MAR-CO means candidates must be skilled at developing systems and be willing to play the lead role in directing the company's quality program.Check below to see if you have what is needed for this opportunity, and if so, make an application asap.Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Programs and SystemsDevelop, implement, communicate and maintain a quality plan to bring the Company's Quality Systems and Policies into compliance with quality system requirements.  Promote quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization.Ensure tests and procedures are properly understood, carried out and evaluated and that product modifications are investigated if necessaryWrite technical and management systems reports; bringing together staff of different disciplines and driving the group to plan, formulate and agree on comprehensive quality procedures. When necessary, work with staff to change their way of working to incorporate quality methods.Manage and maintain the Company's quality inspection and product release programs for incoming and in-process materials and components, processes and finished goods.Formulate and manage the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, procedures and systems pertaining to the QA/QC.Agree on standards and establish clearly defined quality methods for staff to apply.Define quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff.Set up and maintain controls and documentation procedures.Organize and manage quality assurance functions in close cooperation with the customers and with the Company's Management team (Member of Management Team).Customer / Vendor InteractionAssess the product specifications of the company and its suppliers, and compare with customer requirements.Act as liaison with customers' auditors and ensure the execution of corrective action and compliance with customers' specifications.Establish standards of service for customers or clients.ProductionEffectively interact with Production and Development teams to maintain product supply and help introduce new products.Purchasing / Supply ChainWork with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers.Standards ComplianceEnsure compliance with national and international standards and legislation.Set QA compliance objectives and ensure that targets are achieved.Consider the application of environmental, health and safety standards.Supervisory Supervise technical staff in carrying out tests and checks.Identify relevant quality-related training needs and deliver training.Reporting / DocumentationMaintain awareness of the business context and company profitability, including budgetary control issues.Monitor performance by gathering relevant data and produce statistical reports.Collect and analyze performance data and charts against defined parameters. Key Qualifications and Experience Bachelor's Degree in an applied science or engineering field.5 years prior experience in Quality Assurance for consumer product manufacturers. Working knowledge of the Six Sigma process; Black Belt or Green Belt Certification preferredWorking knowledge of PPAP, APQP, FMEA, Auditor Training Demonstrated experience working with contract manufacturers, suppliers, or distributors.Demonstrated exceptional written and oral communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace platforms.Experience in quality management systems. Experience in quality system audits. Desire to own decisions and take responsibility for outcomes. Willingness to travel when required. Willingness to continually embrace personal and professional development. ï»¿Compensation / Benefits PackageSalary commensurate with qualifications and experience.Health, Dental, Vision, and Supplemental Insurance available.Generously matched 401k.2 weeks paid vacation and 11 paid holidays.Professional development and continuing education opportunities.
