Join our expanding team and be an integral part of designing and managing electrical engineering projects in the pharmaceutical and food & beverage industries. In this role, you'll be responsible for designing power systems that deliver power to automated manufacturing processes and assisting in the electrical design of new manufacturing buildings.Engineers in this role will perform design, development of construction packages, procurement assistance, construction support, and commissioning support under the mentorship of a licensed professional engineer.The position offers office-based work with occasional travel to manufacturing sites. Join us for a competitive salary, compensatory PTO (vacation dates or paid out), comprehensive benefits, and a supportive work environment that emphasizes team culture, empowering engineers with more responsibility, professional growth, and a work-life balance.Responsibilities and Duties:Lead and support electrical engineering design for client projects.Support electrical design projects, including load list development, equipment specification, power systems' equipment specification, one-line diagram design, lighting design, motor control center design, overcurrent protection design, and development of panel schedules.Oversee electrical design coordination with process and mechanical engineers, typically beginning with process or packaging applications illustrated on P&IDs and resulting in construction packages illustrating power system designs and scope of work for electrical installation contractors and/or systems integrators.Collaborate with project teams and supervise and mentor team members.Execute full lifecycle project support, including system design, troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning.Conduct site surveys and provide on-site support during installation.Ensure compliance with codes (UL508A, NEC) and standards.Join us and contribute to a diverse range of projects while developing your engineering skills and taking on project management responsibilities.Qualifications:Education: BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology (EIT preferred, intention to pursue PE preferred).Experience: 1-5 years of experience with power system design, lighting design, construction project experience, control systems, manufacturing, or consulting-design environments.Eager to learn to manage sub-tasks within electrical projects, including client coordination, power system system design, and bid package preparation.Exposure to or an interest in power systems, process electrical, switchgear, lighting design, MEP design, equipment selection, power system modeling, and grounding system design.Exposure to or an interest in design and/or programming of Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or similar hobbyist control boards.Exposure to or an interest in E-Plan, SKM, AutoCAD, or Revit.As a student or within early career, demonstrated strong leadership, relationship management, organizational planning, and project management skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
