This position will be responsible for on-going maintenance and management of our network, firewall and related hardware and software that secures the organization's network, analyzing and troubleshooting problems and monitoring for potential network security problems or incidents under the supervision of Senior Manager of Network Engineering and Operations, Security Professionals and management.Responsibilities include:Day to day support, monitoring and maintenance of enterprise network and security systems, review of performance parameters of infrastructure components including Switches, Routers, Firewalls, SD-WAN and IPS security logsAdministering and configuring Cisco network devices, Palo Alto and Cisco ASA firewalls and Silverpeak SD-WANProviding continuous service improvement efforts by optimizing performance, stability and capacity for the network and services at all locations of the companyAssist in IT projects as necessaryContribute to building and maintaining the IT security infrastructure, monitor and suggest improvements to all areas of IT and securityWork across teams and with vendors to identify and resolve issuesThis role will work closely with other team members and have the opportunity to work directly and be mentored by their manager. This person must demonstrate strong communication skills and should have the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast paced work environment.Some travel may be required in this role.Minimum Requirements:Experience supporting a global network including firewall administration for a minimum of 5 years.Minimum of 2 years of experience in firewall administration.Understanding of firewall and network security concepts and technologiesExperience with one or more of the following: Cisco ASA, Palo Alto and Juniper firewallsFamiliar with TCP and UDP traffic flow and Ports useFamiliar with Wireshark protocol AnalyzerExcellent written and verbal skillsAny Cisco or Palo Alto network certification a plusOur client is willing to train the right individual who has a strong desire to learn and be an integral part of the teamIn order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be eligible to obtain and maintain security clearance, which requires USA Citizenship.Preferred Qualifications:Associate or higher college degreeCertification in network or firewall related disciplineAt least 5 years minimum within network administration or engineering
