The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in database creation, data management, and object-oriented programming. This role will involve developing and maintaining the backbone of our digital infrastructure, ensuring efficient data access, sorting, and manipulation to support our various operational flows. Additionally, the Backend Engineer will contribute to server management and DevOps practices to enhance our deployment processes and overall system reliability.Responsibilities:Design, implement, and maintain database structures with a focus on high availability, scalability, and optimal performance.Develop clean, efficient, and secure code to manipulate data and integrate with front-end applications.Create and manage APIs for internal and external use, facilitating seamless data exchange and integration.Apply object-oriented programming principles to develop reusable code and modular components.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements, system interfaces, and integration points.Optimize data retrieval, develop data sorting and manipulation techniques to support business intelligence and reporting needs.Implement best practices in database security, backup, and recovery processes.Understand and apply DevOps principles, contributing to CI/CD pipelines, server configuration, and deployment strategies.Stay abreast of new technologies and approaches in backend development, database management, and DevOps practices.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Proven experience as a Backend Engineer or similar role, with a strong portfolio of projects demonstrating database management and object-oriented programming skills.Expertise in database technologies (SQL/NoSQL), including design, normalization, and optimization techniques.Proficient in at least one of the following languages: Go, Python, Java, C++, Node.jsSolid understanding of RESTful API development and integration.Familiarity with server management, virtualization technologies, and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).Knowledge of DevOps tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Ansible) and practices.Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.Deep understanding of computer architectures, data structures, and algorithms.Preferred Skills:Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their managed database offerings.Experience building scalable systems.Experience with Microsoft Dynamics.Understanding of security best practices, including data protection and authentication.Understanding of VIP, Karma, iDig, and beverage databases.Happy Dad Hard Seltzer is an easy-to-drink, low carbonation, refreshing hard seltzer in a traditional can.
