Role: Interconnection Associate Engineer???? Location: Philadelphia (remote)???? Cleantech (Solar)???? CompetitiveBefore applying for this role, please read the following information about this opportunity found below.I have an exciting opportunity with a utility scale solar developer who are searching for an Interconnection Associate!This role will part of a team who are responsible for the preparation and submission of interconnection applications for utility solar projects. You will create single line diagrams, site plans and layouts as well as identify points of interconnection.The Interconnection Associate should have a general knowledge of the electrical grid's generation, transmission, distribution, and protection systems from an engineering perspective. This includes the ability to do basic three phase power flow calculations (power triangle), per unit conversions and ohms law calculations.Responsibilities:Preparation and submission of interconnection applications for solar projectsDevelopment of single line diagrams, site plans, and preliminary layoutsManagement of a large volume of project applications, monitoring progress and milestonesUnderstanding of utility distributed generation interconnection processesCommunication and liaison with utilities on an ongoing basisManagement of interconnection contractual and payment milestonesQualifications:Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with a focus on power systems0-4+ years of relevant industry experience or transferable skillsProficiency with transmission or distribution planning softwareExceptional attention to detail and strong organizational abilitiesExcellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skillsProactive approach to identifying and resolving issues, with a knack for developing corrective action plansExperience with AutoCAD is advantageous.If you're a self-motivated, results-driven individual who wants to make a difference in the world by working on cutting-edge technology that has a positive impact on the environment, I would love to hear from you.????
