Position SummaryThe Senior Energy Solutions Engineer leads a project team that identifies and calculates energy and water conservation savings. The engineer also manages the development of scope, price, incentives, tax implications, and savings for clients. The candidate must be goal-driven and use a team approach to develop innovative projects. Candidates who can balance engineering knowledge and experience, creative solutions, and thorough and comprehensive problem-solving abilities will be successful.The following information provides an overview of the skills, qualities, and qualifications needed for this role.ResponsibilitiesConduct on-site assessments in prospective buildings.Develop engineering solutions to help clients achieve financial, technical, operational, and environmental goals.ASHRAE Level III and preconstruction experiencePerform and/or manage assessments from inception to contractCalculate energy & water savingsDefine scopes and pricing for energy conservation measuresPrepare sales proposal contentAssist in the client facing sales presentationAssist construction in commissioning of all the installed solutionsContinuous professional developmentMentor engineering team in subject matter expertiseExperience in service, maintenance, repair, and replacement costs over life cycle of ECMsStrategic financial planning over the life cycle of ECMsQualifications/Experiences/SkillsQualifications:Holds at least a B.S. 4-year degree in electrical, mechanical, industrial engineering or equivalentP.E certification desiredPreferred one or more technology and industry certifications (CEM, CEA, CMVP, LEED/AP etc.)Experience:Demonstrated experience in performing savings calculations for energy upgradesUtility bill auditingSecuring incentives and grantsDefining scopes of energy conservation measuresDetermining installation estimates of projectsEstimation of annual energy savingsHigh-level Excel experienceProficient in Microsoft office suiteProficient in SalesforceAdvanced knowledge of energy modelling/best practices/codes (ASHRAE, IESNA, NEC etc.)Experience in seeing projects through implementationTechnical experience with energy efficiency technologiesSkills:Analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skillsAdvanced computer skillsProject management fundamentalsAbility to work effectively across a large geographic and diverse customer portfolioEffective interpersonal skills to develop good working relationshipsDemonstrated sourcing and implementing new technologyUp-to-date knowledge of energy efficiency technologiesDemonstrated performance working with solution providers to provide energy/utility performance improvements in commercial, industrial and health facilitiesIn-depth and advanced building services knowledge such as mechanical & HVAC, Building Automation System, electrical & lightingAbility to travel and perform after hours work on occasion when needed
