We offer the best salaries and benefits packages in our industry - to identify and retain the top talent in support of our critical mission objectives.We are seeking an experienced Kafka Engineer/Data Brokering Engineer-(Kafka/Confluent) to join our team!Qualifications by levelJunior Kafka Engineer = 0-2 years of experience and a minimum of a Bachelors degreeMid Kafka Engineer = 3-7 yrs of experience and a HS diplomaSr/Lead Kafka Engineer = 8+ yrs of experience and a HS diplomaAt least 2 years experience with Kafka/Confluent, Kubernetes operators (have a Sr level opening as well, that requires at least 8 yrs experience and can be remote)! Experience creating data partitioning strategies and monitoring topics for performanceExperience deploying and upgrading Kafka clusters in high availability containerized environmentsExperience utilizing observability platforms (Elastic, Datadog, etc.) to configure monitoring for data pipelines to ensure high availability and throughput, low latency, and alertingKnowledge of stream processing pipelines and analyticsDoD8570 IAT II Compliance Certification (Such as Security+, CCNA Security, GSEC, etc.)Secret Clearance is requiredHS diploma or GED requiredAdditional Qualifications:• Experience with Apache NiFi, multi-cluster or containerized environment experience preferred• Experience with scripting in Bash or Python• Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, including threats, vulnerabilities, security operations, encryption, boundary defense, auditing, authentication, and supply chain risk management• Experience deploying and maintaining applications, appliances, or machines aligned to DoD/DISA Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIG) and Security Requirements Guides (SRG)• Experience writing playbooks and scripts for automation tools including Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC)• Bachelor's Degree is a plusClearance: Secret clearance (or higher) is required.Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
