American Engineering is actively seeking Civil Engineer professionals in our Charlotte, NC office who are eager to be part of a growing engineering firm.For a complete understanding of this opportunity, and what will be required to be a successful applicant, read on.As part of American Engineering, individuals will play a critical role within the design teams, creating solutions for projects within the Land Development, Transportation, and / or Water Resources sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating the design and development of a variety of civil engineering and land planning projects.RequirementsA bachelor's degree in civil engineering or something similar.Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience with AutoCAD and CAD / Civil 3D.PE preferred (or can obtain shortly after starting).Strong working knowledge in Civil drafting - road plans, commercial site plans, and residential subdivisionsAbility to communicate effectively both written and spoken.Experience with grading, drainage and stormwater management design, and erosion and sediment control a PLUS.Eager to learn and grow as an individual.Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.Strong attention to detail.Comfortable working on-site.Willing to relocate or commute to the Charlotte area.
