Job Description:

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:High Structural Erectors, located in Lancaster, PA, is searching for a Bridge Engineer. The role of this position is to work with the field operations team to develop installation calculations and procedures for heavy civil projects including steel and precast concrete bridge superstructures, precast concrete parking structures and precast concrete architectural cladding. Duties will include the production of sealed calculations for staged construction plans including rigging and fixture design.Please double check you have the right level of experience and qualifications by reading the full overview of this opportunity below.EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, AND/OR EDUCATION REQUIRED:A focus on bridge and heavy highway structures is preferred.Professional Engineering License in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania with an ability to obtain in other states.Progressive structural engineering experience in steel and precast concrete design, bridge design, or erection engineering field is preferred.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for working effectively and collaboratively within a team.Experience in effectively working directly with erection personnel to provide sound engineering directives as necessary.Experience in Microsoft Office software suite, MathCAD, STAADPro/SAP2000, RISA or other equivalent structural analysis software packages is preferred.Proficiency in working with and applying governing specifications such as AASHTO, AWS, AISC, AREMA, ASTM, PCI and various Owner Standard Specifications is preferred.Working for the High Companies:Tuition Assistance with 100 percent reimbursement for approved courses and degree programs which are job related and approved in advance by your supervisor.Employee Assistance Program provides professional, confidential assistance for any type of personal issue you or your eligible dependents are experiencing.High Family Foundation Scholarship is awarded annually to the children of High co-workers working at least 1,000 hours per year and employed for at least two years.
