Job Description:

Be a key player in the "build-phase" of a totally new security program.Please read the information in this job post thoroughly to understand exactly what is expected of potential candidates.You're going to be coming in to work closely with the Head of Security and the wider technology team to architect and implement all aspects of the security program here. With heavy backing from C-level and substantial financial backing from one of North America's largest private equity firms, you'll have plenty to do and a stable environment to do so.This is an IC role, so you're coming in to build, implement and maintain. Longer term there could be potential to progress but right now you'll be a core element in the build-phase. You'll be securing both on-prem and cloud (Azure) environments.There's great variety, as you'll be working with all areas of the business. Initial projects could include architectural reviews of current tech, or even new merger and acquisitions, making sure security is consistent across any new business areas. Other areas of work will include liaising with 3rd parties for pen tests, and leading incident responses.The aim is to get a highly efficient environment where as much is automated as possible, so you're going to need to be a strong scripter with Python or PowerShell. Additionally, you'll need to have strong experience across the Microsoft security tech stack, Azure and Defender essential. Given your experience, you'll bring all kinds of experience and knowledge of industry frameworks, architecting various security tools and vulnerability management. A varied background is ideal and being happy to wear many hats will be essential.You'll be joining a financial services business with heavy financial backing who have already achieved a lot of success in the investment world. With founders and senior leaders who have had plenty of success in this arena already, your career should be in good hands.
