SENIOR/STAFF or PRINCIPAL ELECTRICAL ENGINEER - POWER ELECTRONICSScroll down the page to see all associated job requirements, and any responsibilities successful candidates can expect.Raleigh or Charlotte, NC areaCompensation to: $150K-$200K+ ( Base salary AND annual bonus and Pre- IPO stock options ) --- Compensation and level of position will be determined by relevant experience.Power Technology Associates, inc. is conducting a search for several EE's at the Intermediate, Senior and Principallevels to join a rapidly growing (currently 100 employees) clean energy company.Responsibilities:Lead design, qualification , and release high-tech revolutionary new EVSE clean energy products/systems- EVSE electric vehicle charging infrastructurePlan and lead new product development efforts, delivering safe, high quality, reliable products to marketContribute to a culture of collaboration, change and accountabilityEstablish design standards for Electrical Engineering excellenceAdvance people and processes to help scale the businessManage product lifecycle from new product introductions through end-of lifeWork with suppliers and leverage industry relationships to produce solutions for "new state of art EVSE technologies".Determine and fulfill application requirements relating to installation, distribution, and commissioning of developed productsLead new product development and advanced designs of Power electronic components, and or mixed signal components/circuits , modules, for circuit protection devices/systems, EVSE charging & Power delivery applications.Establish and follow design best practices through engineering methodologies such as Analysis of Alternatives, Design of Experiments, FMEA, and Design for XDevelop and lead cutting edge PCB's, schematics, layoutsSupport and lead decisions on resource loading an agile and growing team of engineers.Guide the team through application requirements including installation, distribution, and commissioning of developed productsManage relationships with suppliers and establish state-of-the-art solutions for new technologiesExperience:Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related STEM Degree7- 15+ years of design experience with board level power electronics components/circuits and analog/digital circuit/components/modules/subassembliesExperience with some of following : EVSE, 3-phase power systems, circuit protection devices, or software enabled hardware solutions or Power Distribution for Industrial Facilities, EV charging Fast Charging, EV Charging Stations, Power Conversion systems , Power Electronics based Energy Systems, EV Infrastructure, power conversion, Battery Energy Storage Systems, 3- phase UPS etc.Experience with new product development in a phase-gate release process.Experience transitioning new products into production in a factory setting.Experience with production execution and planning tools such as PLM and ERP systemsExperience in project leadership and mentorship/leadership of less experienced engineersA systems thinking mindset.Direct experience designing with Wide Band Gap (WBG) semiconductorsDesirable Background:Master's degree in electrical engineeringExperience with high-speed digital design and/or wireless communicationsExperience with design of switch- mode power supply designs for EV charging and EVSEExpertise in power electronics design, and both analog and digital (microcontrollers)Knowledge of power distribution systems, circuit protection, and control for industrial facilitiesAbility to break very complex problems down to simple partsContact:Rich CardarellaPower Technology Associates, Inc508-543-4100 officeRcardarella@
