Job Description:

Growing company with multiple manufacturing locations has an outstanding opportunity available in the St. Louis, MO metro area for a Quality Manager. The Quality Manager is responsible for the design and implementation of the Site Quality Management System ensuring compliance with all quality, environmental, health & safety standards during production and driving continuous improvement. Responsible for overseeing and testing processes, raw materials, and finished products.All potential candidates should read through the following details of this job with care before making an application.Key Duties & Responsibilities:Understand customer needs and requirements to develop effective Quality Management System.Participates in the review of all design, manufacturing, testing, and supplier documentation. This includes a review of design drawings, process procedures, quality manuals, test procedures, and inspection analysis.Identify the root causes of the problem and instituting corrective action.Ensures that product quality is attained in the assigned product group or program.Recommends or implements the appropriate corrective action to quality problems in in the assigned area, with the aid of manufacturing, engineering, design, purchasing, etc. Participate in problem resolution, identify, quality concerns, and communicate with departments with the facility.Manage the Quality Policy and Environmental Policy ISO 9001: 2015 (QMS) / ISO 14001:2015 (EMS) / IATF 19649 2016 (AQMS).Develop key results for quality control department.Manage all aspects of the QMS and perform internal and external audits.Establish and implement quality control audit process to ensure adherence to the QMS.Establish and implement quality control audit procedures to proactively identify defects within raw material, work in-process, and finished goods inventories.Manage and direct the completion of corrective/preventative action process to ensure effective documentation and systematic processes are implemented.Set supplier quality specifications and monitor compliance.Supervise inspectors, technicians, and other quality control staff.Ensure the implementation of effective training programs to promote a solid functional understanding of quality systems and quality-related tools.Direct the appropriate staff members to ensure all quality documentation is maintained and current.Other responsibilities as assigned by management. Requirements:Engineering experience; preferably plastics and/or automotive background (3+ years).Blueprint reading engineering drawings and process specifications interpretation skills are strongly preferred.ISO 9001: AS9100 Auditor (5+ years).Quality Management (5+ years).Proficient in Microsoft Office Products.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Proven leadership capabilities.Strong mathematical skills and ability to perform data analysis/statistical modeling. MBA a plusCMQ/QE, CQA, or other Quality Certification is a plus.CSP, ASP, or other Safety Certification is a plus.ISO 9001:2015 Certified Auditor; Certified to audit ISO 9001:2015 internally and externally.
