In addition, several Faculty and Staff Appreciation games each year with additional discounts or promotions.Essential Duties· Identify and evaluate potential projects/ strategies to save energy and water and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.· Develop and implement processes/ strategies for monitoring, verifying, and documenting energy, water, and associated cost savings.· Provide support in monitoring University energy and water use, by campus, and on a building-by-building basis.· Work with other departments in planning and developing energy and water-related projects and coordinating the implementation of such projects.· Lead or assist with ASU's efforts to obtain utility rebates and other incentives related to efficiency projects.· As directed by Energy Innovations management, assist other Energy Innovations department staff or Facilities Development and Management personnel with respect to energy, water or greenhouse gas-related projects and reports.· As assigned, work with Purchasing or others to develop procurement documents and shepherd and negotiate agreements to achieve low-cost/high-quality services, goods and delivery.· Review, analyze, maintain, compile and organize energy and water-related reports and contracts as assigned.· As assigned, oversee the use of outside consultants to assist in achieving short and long-term energy and water use optimization and greenhouse gas reduction goals and objectives.· Assist with presentations (and present as needed) to the public and targeted groups regarding energy and climate neutrality issues.· As directed, research and report on technologies and issues related to energy or climate change.· As directed, produce documents, including reports and data analysis to inform policy makers, legal, students, staff, faculty, management and others about energy resource issues.· As directed, analyze fault detection and diagnostic tool outputs and coordinate efforts to resolve faults.· Prepare load forecasts and recommendations related to energy resource requirements, acquisitions and development as directed.· Operate a motor vehicle requiring a standard Arizona Drivers License to attend meetings, conferences, or visit multiple campuses.· Perform other tasks as may be directed by the Director of Energy Innovations.DAYS AND SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or closely related field and two (2) years of related energy management experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved. Employee must possess a valid US Drivers license of the appropriate class and required endorsements throughout employment.Desired QualificationsEvidence of:· Masters Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering; or, Certified Energy Manager (CEM) designation and four (4) years of facilities/plant or energy resource management experience; or, other degrees relating to procurement, law or energy/climate policy.· Effective Communication SkillsExperience In:· Analyzing utility bills· Conducting energy and water audits· Utilizing modern building automation and control systems, and implementation of IOT technology in Smart Buildings / Smart Campuses· Utilizing fault detection and diagnostic systems· Reviewing and utilizing new building codes and standards such as IECC, ASHRAE 90.1· Formatting, organizing and analyzing "big data" (2 or more years)· Modeling energy use in buildings· Analyzing and interpreting energy related contracts (2 or more years)· Commissioning buildings and/or building retrofit projects
