As the General Manager of Technology, you will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of our technology platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities and provide customized solutions, and will be responsible for managing the technology team and ensuring its alignment with business objectives.Primary ResponsibilitiesThe GM will be responsible for running day-to-day operations at The Collector Car Network and guiding general business strategy. Their duties include overseeing hiring and scheduling staff, tracking cash flow, and setting sales goals for their team as well as:Developing key performance goals and managing the performance, training, and coaching of staffCreating and implementing strategies for business growth of the online auction market Ensuring that departments or units deliver quality and timely correspondence with clientsWorking closely with account managers and other senior staff to retain and grow the client baseDeveloping new solutions to meet client needsImproving internal processes for better productivityExcellent people skills with the ability to effectively communicate the company's overall vision and set realistic expectations for the staffManaging the budget and monitoring the financial health of The Collector Car NetworkSupervising and managing the entire e-commerce department.Identifying and evaluating new marketing opportunities to increase website traffic and online production.Determining the website format and interacting with web developers to design or make changes accordingly.Undertaking research to understand the demographic targets, search engine traffic, media buying, etc.Financial planning and preparing budgets.Monitoring and tracking traffic and analytics.Protecting the security of the sites to prevent phishing and other scams.Preparing marketing materials weeks before launch.Overseeing seasonal products and narrative marketing strategies.Preparing email, online and social media marketing. This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by this employee. He or she will be required to follow any other instructions and to perform any other duties requested by his or her supervisor.   Qualifications10+ years of experience in technology management roles, preferably in a B2C or e-commerce environmentProven track record of successfully managing and leading technology teamsExperience with software engineering, data architecture, product development, and project managementStrong understanding of e-commerce and digital marketing technologiesExcellent communication skills and ability to work independently and in a team environmentBachelor's degree or higher in Marketing, Engineering, or a related field
