SUMMARY: This position normally requires a minimum of 7 years of experience in process engineering.Responsible for independently applying advanced engineering techniques and analysis within the discipline. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.· Perform simple/complex process engineering calculations and develop process engineering documents using Aspen Plus or Hysyso Process Engineering Calculationso Process Design Basiso Process Flow Diagrams/Utility Flow Diagramso Piping & Instrumentation Diagramso Equipment data sheetso Process Descriptiono Utility Summarieso Instrument Data Sheetso Control Narrativeso Hydraulic calculations for line sizingo Relief Valve data sheets· Perform simple/complex process simulationso Optimize process configuration and equipment designo Generate Heat & Material Balanceso Write simulation reports· Develop Equipment data sheets for non-critical equipment· Perform Simple Process Engineering Calculations· Perform hydraulic calculations for line sizing· Develop first pass documents and pick up comments from Sr Engineers for the following:o Process Flow Diagrams/Utility Flow Diagramso Piping & Instrumentation Diagramso Non-Critical Equipment Data Sheetso Process Descriptiono Utility Summarieso Instrument Data Sheets· Perform more complex plant simulations· Generate Heat & Material Balances· Develop Control Narratives· Develop Relief Valve data sheets· Develop Process Design Basis· Develop Data Sheets for more complex Equipment· Perform more complex Engineering Calculations· Approved as a quality checker for the following documents:o Heat & Material Balanceso Process Flow Diagrams/Utility Flow Diagramso Piping & Instrumentation Diagramso Equipment Data Sheets (Non-Critical equipment)o Process Descriptiono Utility Summarieso Equipment checks for FEED validationo Complex Engineering Calculationso Relief Valve data sheetsQUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:· Typically requires Seven (7) to Ten (10) years of relevant experience in downstream oil&gas· Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering required· Excellent computer skills including Aspen Plus or Hysys· Strong verbal and written communication skills· Ability to work in a team environment· Experience with Petrochemical, Refining, Gas Processing/LNG technology· Experience with above Process Design tasks· Extensive process simulation experience preferred
