Work with a tight-knit, cross-functional engineering team in PacStar's Portland office to develop solutions to enable compute and communications functions in tactical/man-portable form factors that were previously only possible in the datacenter. You approach difficult problems with a solution-oriented mindset and a track record of success. You have advanced experience in designing, configuring, and maintaining TCP/IP networks and devices. You have advanced experience in routing, switching, security, and Wi-Fi from various vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, Palo Alto, Ruckus, etc. You have advanced experience in operating systems such as Windows, Windows Server, VMware ESXi & Linux. You have experience with Network and Systems security using 802.1x, Public Key Infrastructure/Certificates, Certificate Authorities, etc.Your ChallengeWill perform high-level systems analysis, evaluation, integration, documentation, and implementation of very complex networking and systems solutions that require a thorough knowledge of administrative and technical skillsPerform a variety of advanced networking configurations and technologiesDevelop and implement VPN integrations related to the operation, performance, or availability of data communications networksIntegration, test and troubleshooting of hardware, software and networking for PacStar productsDevelop and implement procedures for configuration and testing of systemsProduce and support integrated systems for Marketing, Sales, and End CustomersAbility to write and create documents and procedures for internal and external usersResponsible for quality levels maintained in PacStar productsPerformance requires physical attendanceOther duties as assignedWhat You BringUS Citizenship Required6+ years in network or systems engineering in a production environmentAbility to present complex technology to technical and non-technical audiencesExpert level experience with IP networking and networking devices (Switches, Routers, Firewalls, etc.)Cisco CCNP, Aruba ACMP, Juniper JNCIP or equivalent requiredExtensive experience integrating secure communications between multiple network equipment vendors (Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Riverbed, Aruba, Ruckus, etc.) requiredExperience with PKI (certificates, certificate authorities, and revocation checking) strongly desiredExperience with PC hardware and troubleshootingExperience with VMware vSphere (ESXi) and Microsoft Windows strongly desiredExperience with Linux strongly desiredExperience with network management applications such as SolarWinds, SNMPc, Nagios, etc. is a plusExperience with CSfC solutions and tactical computing and data secure networking on the tactical edge is a plusAbility to lift and carry 35 pounds of test equipment at least 40 feetMust be able to self-organize workloads and manage all deadlinesAbility to obtain Secret ClearanceAbility to travel up to 15% of timeWho We AreOur ValuesEnvironmental, Social and GovernancePacific Star Communications, a Curtiss-Wright company, designs, manufactures and integrates hardware and software systems that enable rapid deployment of enterprise-class communications anywhere in the world.
