Position: NOC Technician/Analyst (EVENING Shift)Location: Tampa, FL (Downtown Tampa)Duration: 6 month Contract to HireSHIFT: Monday-Friday ~ 1:00pm to 10:00pm ESTMake sure to apply quickly in order to maximise your chances of being considered for an interview Read the complete job description below.Desired Skillset:1-3+ years in technical supportExperience working in a Data CenterExperience with running cables/cabling, racking/stacking servers, putting gear into racks, and decommissioning equipmentExperience with Managed Services companiesFamiliar with various networking fundamentals related to routers, switches, LAN, WANPrior experience in a Network Operations Center/Data Center environment is desirableTroubleshooting shooting skillsProficient with word processing and spreadsheet software, Internet software and email.Ability to learn billing software systems and access online support/tools.Bonus Experience:Prior experience in a Network Operations Center/Data Center environment is desirableknowledge of RF signals and HFC networksMS Office, internet software, e-mail communication, ICOMs billing system preferred.Experience or exposure to Virtualization (VMware, Zerto, OR Veeam)An understanding or ability to learn of local, long-distance and toll free telephony, recognize and assist in resolving LNP porting, LIBD, PAC, telephony features, VoIP, and customer premise equipment.Daily Responsibilities:Will be working in the data center and will need help with anything and everything that goes along with managing a data center - including: cabling, racking, stacking, setting up computers, installations, operating hand trucks, unboxing, decommissioning and packing items up, shelf assemble, building out the storage room.Respond to alerts, incident tickets and email requests presented to Network OperationsWork as first level escalation for NOC 1Handle escalation calls from Vendors, Call Centers, Dispatch, and Field personnel as neededPerform daily routines and tasks as requiredEscalate issues as needed to, BOSS, NOC 3, Operations or Engineering teams per proceduresAccurately document all issue details in appropriate ticket or notification toolsAssist in communication and notification of major events to internal teamsAssist with modification and creation of standard operating proceduresEnsure appropriate communication occurs between shiftsAdditional duties and responsibilities as required
